Desenrola Brasil is an initiative by the Ministry of Finance that aims to benefit up to 70 million indebted Brazilians. The main objective of this program is to reduce interest accrued on debts to the minimum possible. Only financial institutions authorized by the Central Bank can offer credit to those enrolled in the program and the agreed amounts will be transferred directly to creditors – companies to which people in default owe debt. And how to participate? Find out now! What is Desenrola Brasil? Desenrola Brasil is a program that basically helps people negotiate debts, first ensuring that creditor companies reduce the accumulated debt as much as possible and then allowing the outstanding amount to be renegotiated. In the words of the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, the objective of the program is: “Refinance for the debtor, but the creditor will not have to wait for payment. He will be sure of receiving it.” According to Haddad, the initiative aims to improve discount conditions for creditors and make life easier for debtors. This means that credit will be granted to defaulting citizens, but this credit will not even go through the hands of debtors: the authorized institution will transfer the amounts directly to the creditor as soon as the negotiation is completed.

It will require registration on the official website and the debtor's approval to participate depends on whether the creditor – the company in which the person's debt is registered – has won the so-called “debt auction” or “reverse auction”. How will Desenrola Brasil work? At all stages, Desenrola Brasil first selects the creditors that offer the most generous discounts and then opens a round of renegotiations. See how it works step by step! 1. Reverse auction Creditors (banks and companies) will participate in an auction in which they will offer discounts on debts and the name “reverse” comes precisely from the fact that the government is choosing who these creditors are and not that the creditors choose to participate and only.
